SCOTTISH POWER

Windfarm Field Supervisor –
Cruach Mhor Windfarm (Cowal Peninsula)
ScottishPower Renewables
Your drive, energy and passion will help us make a world of difference at ScottishPower Renewables.
The demand for renewable energy keeps growing, so we’re constantly investing in our assets. We’re
always exploring innovative means of generation and distribution. As we continue to progress diverse
onshore wind and marine energy projects in the UK, and offshore wind farms worldwide, we’re now
searching for the right Windfarm Field Supervisor to invest in.
As a Windfarm Field Supervisor, you’ll enter a world of opportunity. Our installation pipeline has
never looked so impressive. With a further 500 MW of onshore windfarm projects on the way, we’re
already the UK’s foremost wind developer. Our next goal is to become the global leader in offshore
wind. With consent to develop over 1,000 MW through just two of our forthcoming offshore projects,
we are shaping a thrilling future in a dynamic energy market. As we relentlessly explore a whole
world of fresh opportunities, your career can be as exciting as you choose to make it.
We will look to you to ensure site activities and safety risks across your allocated sites are managed
effectively and compliantly. You’ll carry out thorough safety and technical inspections and audits,
local operation of the assets, and coordinate the response and close-out of any issues you identify.
By taking responsibility for directing the on site management of sub-contractors, you will ensure
that we benefit from optimal commercial performance without compromising safety. Along the
way, you’ll enjoy the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects with leading technology.
To join us, you’ll need a HNC or equivalent City and Guilds accredited qualification in an electrical or
mechanical discipline. We’ll expect you to have sound knowledge of electro-mechanical generating
plant and apparatus. Ideally, you’ll also have some experience of windfarm operational management
and be comfortable working at heights and within enclosed spaces. Travel is an integral part of
this role, so it is essential that you have a full UK driving licence and are willing to travel to sites
throughout our portfolio. Highly motivated and organised, with great communication skills
and a willingness to embrace change, you are equally confident working autonomously and in
collaboration with others.
In return you’ll enjoy a competitive salary and benefits including pension plan, childcare vouchers
and enhanced annual leave. You’ll also have the advantage of excellent training and development
opportunities. At ScottishPower Renewables, if you share great ideas you can own your career.
