Dunoon’s Bishop’s Glen saw a fine turnout of mountain bikers for the Scottish Cross Country Mountain Bike racing series on Saturday and Sunday (April 30 and May 1).

Pictured is David Duggan, who came second in the Elite/Expert Male category. Riders in this category completed four laps of the course.

Saturday saw free events laid on in the West Bay while cyclists got the chance to practice the route.

Sunday was the actual racing – with torrential rain overnight turning the course into quite a challenge.

Apart from the serious racers there were also courses around the reservoir for younger bikers from under-eights to under-12s. Most of them looked as if they enjoyed the experience!
