TRANS-ATLANTIC SUCCESS FOR INVERARAY

AN ARGYLL pipe band has won its opening competition of the 2016 season – in the USA.

Inveraray and District Pipe Band won the Grade One section at the first Virginia International Tattoo American Pipe Band Championships yesterday (Saturday).

 

The overall Grade One results were:

1, Inveraray and District (Prize, $2,500);

2, Police Scotland Fife ($1,000);

3, Toronto Police ($500).

Best Drum Corps: Inveraray and District.

Best Piping: Inveraray and District.
