On Saturday February 13 Blairmore girl Nuala McCheyne was part of Inverclyde Athletic Club’s under 15s 4 x 200 metres relay team competing at the Emirates Arena, Glasgow in the National Junior Championships.

The Inverclyde team ran well in the qualifying heats and has qualified for the finals which shall be held in the same arena tomorrow, Saturday.

The junior events will take place in advance of the International Grand Prix being held later in the day when the juniors can see and perhaps meet the likes of Mo Farah, Greg Rutherford and Laura Muir.

Nuala has received sponsorship from Western Ferries to assist her in attending events such as this.
