 A LARGE home crowd was treated to a fine display from the home side at the Winterton, Inveraray on Saturday.
Goals from Gary MacPherson, Euan McMurdo, Grant Griffin and a second half hat-trick from Russell MacKinlay were enough to see off a strong Glenurquhart team, despite the visitors taking an early two goal lead in this Scottish Hydro Premier Division tie.

ColGlen and near-neighbours Strachur met in Glendaruel last Saturday for the first time this season, in what turned out to be an excellent old fashioned shinty derby – with true grit and plenty of entertainment.

 A Dunoon man has been given the honour of captaining a Great Britain and Ireland professional golf team against the USA next year.
Russell Weir, the much-respected professional at Cowal Golf Club, was told of his selection on Tuesday by the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA).
