CCAD is a local voluntary sector organisation based
at Ballochyle House in Dunoon, which offers a range
of confidential services to those concerned about, or
struggling with, problematic alcohol or drug use.
We are recruiting to a newly created post of Secretary
to the Board. The role requires excellent minutetaking,
administration and organisational skills. Most of
the work can be undertaken from home and reliable
access to computer and e-mail facilities are essential.
Hours are based on an average of 8 per month and
monthly meetings are generally held in the evening.
The post can be offered on an employed or selfemployed

PA23 BID
Development Officer

Dunoon BID wishes to appoint a person to
complete the development of a Business
Improvement District (BID) for Dunoon Area.
This appointment is likely to be for a 6 to 8
month period subject to funding.
The appointee will be expected to deliver
a project that presents an agreed 5 year
programme for improvements to the business
environment within the area that will be defined
by the Dunoon BID Steering Group. The
project is already well underway. Experience
of Business Improvement Districts (Scotland)
procedures is a distinct advantage although not
essential.
The appointment will be on a self-employed
basis, based on an indicative annual payment
of £18,200 pro rata. Hours worked are to be
by negotiation but will be approximately 20 per
week rising to 30 nearer ballot of businesses.

in February.

SHORT TERM EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
February – March 2012
Benmore and Kilmun Community Trust is seeking a local
person to assist in preparing a new Community Action
Plan.
Approx. five days work to carry out interviews with local
people and groups, seeking views about Benmore and
Kilmun. No fixed hours although you will need to be
flexible to fit in around interviewees availability.
The rate of pay is £25/interview including arranging and
writing up.
Training and guidance will be given and there may be
further research and report writing work available for the
right person.
You will be at ease talking and listening to people, able
to take detailed accurate notes, have good report writing
skills and use of IT. Experience of research would be
helpful. The person we are looking for could be a recent
graduate or someone currently in part time work, or just
looking for some additional income.
