STAFF and customers were left shocked after an armed robber entered a well-known Dunoon hairdressing salon, before making off with cash.
Police are appealing for information following the robbery, which happened at around 10.50am on Wednesday April 15 at Phemie's Hairdressers in the town's Edward Street.
The thief threatened staff with what is reported to have been a firearm, demanded money, then made his getaway with a three-figure sum of money towards John Street.
The suspect is described as being white, approximately six feet tall, and was wearing a black balaclava or woollen hat, black top and black and grey tracksuit trousers.
Police Scotland said that no firearm was discharged and there were no injuries during the robbery.
