Strathclyde Police has now confirmed that a 30-year-old man has died following an incident in Dunoon last night (Thursday). The man is understood to be local.

£6.7M FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS MERGER

THE SCOTTISH government announced on Wednesday that is to award Argyll and Bute Council £6.7m to construct a new building to replace Dunoon’s three existing primary schools - even though Argyll and Bute Council insist that no decision has been made on a merger.

Lothian and Borders Police investigating the murder of Suzanne Pilley are making a fresh appeal for information, exactly four weeks after the Edinburgh woman disappeared.
As the enquiry progresses, Detective Chief Inspector Gary Flannigan continues to urge Argyll people to come forward with any potentially relevant information, and is now particularly interested in the Glen Croe area.
