The body of an 82-year-old local man was discovered on the beach at Kames at 3.35pm today.
A Strathclyde Police spokeswoman said: “Enquiries are at an early stage, however there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
"A Post Mortem examination will be held to establish the cause of death.
“A report has been prepared for the Procurator Fiscal.”
A Royal Navy rescue helicopter, a road ambulance and several police vehicles were in attendance at Kames
