FATAL ACCIDENT - LOCH ECK ROAD

The A815 road between Strachur and Dunoon was closed on the evening of Sunday July 18 after a motorcyclist was killed following a collision with a truck on the shores of Loch Eck.

The accident took place at Coire Ealt, between Glenbranter and Whistlefield, at around 4.40pm on Sunday.

The motorcyclist's identity has not yet been confirmed by Strathclyde Police, but the person is understood not to be local to the Cowal area.

Strathclyde Police has confirmed that a diversion is available through Glen Lean, meeting with the A886 through Glendaruel and Strachur.
