    On the A1 northbound between the junctions with the A197 and the A192, there are currently delays of 10 mins due to heavy traffic . Normal traffic conditions expected from 2:30 am.

SANDBANK WOMAN JUMPS FROM MOVING AMBULANCE

A 46-year-old woman was airlifted to Glasgow’s Southern General Hospital last night (Thursday) after she jumped from an ambulance which was taking her to Dunoon Hospital.


The incident happened at around 8.30pm on the ‘High Road’ between Sandbank and Dunoon and an investigation is currently underway. The woman is understood to come from the Sandbank area.


Medical staff at the Southern General describe her condition as ‘serious’.


A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service old the Standard: We are co-operating fully with police and have instigated our own investigation.”
