  • A1(A197) -A1(A192) - AbnormalTraffic
    On the A1 northbound between the junctions with the A197 and the A192, there are currently delays of 10 mins due to heavy traffic . Normal traffic conditions expected from 2:30 am.
  • Strathclyde - Low temperature

    Motorists are advised to drive with care throughout Strathclyde due to low temperatures currently affecting driving conditions.

  • Grampian - Low temperature

SERIOUS ACCIDENT AT LOCH ECK

A serious accident which occurred today (Sunday) on the A815 near Loch Eck Caravan Park by Dunoon has resulted in two men being injured. The Dunoon Observer understands that one man was uplifted by air ambulance.

 


Strathclyde Police said that the mid-afternoon accident involved a car and two motor cycles.
Police are unable to advise, at this stage, the extent of the mens’ injuries or when the road will re-open.

The A815 is closed between Strachur Bay and Stratheck and a diversion is in place via the A886 Colintraive road.

 

The B839 road from the A815 to Lochgoilhead was also closed by police today. A Strathclyde Police spokeswoman said that  they are in the early stages of an investigation which is currently ongoing. There was no indication as to when the road will re-open.

UPDATE 7.25pm Sunday May 16

Following the accident earlier today near the Loch Eck Caravan Park, the A815 has now re-opened.
