STRACHUR DRIVER DIES AFTER CAR CRASH

A 90-year-old Strachur man who was injured in a two-car crash on the A815 last week has died in hospital, police have said.

John Bain's Fiat Punto struck a Mazda pick-up on the A815 Loch Eck road, close to the Whistlefield Inn, at about 1.35pm on Monday, March 8.
He was airlifted to Glasgow's Southern General Hospital, where he died yesterday (Sunday). Mr Bain was 89 at the time of the crash and turned 90 in hospital.
The Mazda driver, 62, and his male and female passengers, were discharged after treatment at Dunoon Hospital.
